L'innocence ternie

Présentation

Tarnished innocence is a hymn to my sister Chloé.
A photograph of a time of uncertainty, a delicate crossroads between child and young woman.
At seventeen, the quest for one's own identity turns out to be a struggle.
A search to take possession of her own body.

While searching for the supports that will allow her to take flight, Chloé plunges back into the absence of a father and the lack of a family life. This gives a delicate air of déjà vu to our mother, who sees it as a reflection of her own abandonment.

Chloe and our mother have always had a complex, fusional and exclusive relationship. An unbreakable bond unites them, and this does not go smoothly. Embarked on a period of emotional violence, disputes and reconciliations punctuate their daily lives.

Since I crossed the Channel, my voice has been searching for its echo and my gaze for its right distance. I present these few photographs as the scattered pieces of a complex puzzle.
