What does Boutographies mean?

It's a contraction of the words Boutonnet (1 district of Montpellier where the event was born) and photographs.

Visiteurs public pavillon populaire

Over the course of twenty years of continuous photographic presence in Montpellier and across Europe, the Boutographies have become THE photographic highlight in the city.

The event is also a time for initiatives, meetings and partnerships for all photographers with projects, with special emphasis on those who have already been selected for the Boutographies.

Jury

Each year, an independent jury and meetings with the public are there for the photographers.

The official programme is complemented by exhibitions curated by the Parallèle section, and by off-site events hosted by a number of cultural venues involved in photography and contemporary art in and around Montpellier. Walking and cycling tours add to the pleasure of visiting exhibitions in an area that changes every year.
