There are more than 300 spas in Germany. The photographer visits 40 centers across the country, the best known as well as the smaller structures not mentioned in tourist guides. People go there mainly for health reasons but also recreationally . He tries to capture the microcosm of each center. Sometimes he photographes the scenery from a certain distance, other times he immerses himself in the places, chatting with the temporary inhabitants and portraying them in their daily routines and treatments. Between picturesque nature and sterile interiors, Between picturesque interiors and sanitized nature, it seems to be a bit like in a dream, where you always wonder if things are really how they appear.
