Biographie

It's in 2010 that Mélissa Boucher's journey begins, when she trains in the Fine Arts in Paris, in Patrick Tosani's workshop. About twenty exhibitions in France and other countries between 2010 and 2018 shape the beginning of her career. During those years she receives multiple grants (2016 Production Grant of the USA embassy - 2015 Studies Grant of Central Saint Martins, London) and participates in multiple residencies (2015 Residence Ucross, Wyoming USA - 2014 Laureate of the residency of Paris, Texas and Beyond, endowment from the USA embassy of Paris).

Melissa Boucher captures the atmosphere of renewal and freshness that inhabits today’s Vietnamese streets, not without evoking the European renaissance of the 60's. She deals with a urban youth who is familiar with freedom and sensuality, as well as modernity. She gives us a glimpse of the simple elegance and delicacy of teenage gestures in the warm night, when they slip like fish in water.
