The association has always been a place for professionals and enthusiasts to meet and exchange ideas, a training centre for photographers of all levels, a continuous project workshop open to individual and collective creativity, and a space for organising exhibitions and events.
Amateur and professional photographers can look forward to a wide range of activities: exhibitions, competitions, teaching, workshops and numerous initiatives dedicated to all age groups.
The space has always been open to the different expressions and variations of contemporary photography: a real workshop for those approaching this world for the first time, while for those who are already experts, it offers additional stimuli for research and growth to develop their own vision. Over the years, Officine Fotografiche Roma has become the centre for the promotion and development of quality photography, generated not only by technical knowledge of the photographic medium, but above all by a thorough artistic and cultural education.
The association has always collaborated with institutions, other cultural associations and the main players in the world of Italian and international photography. It offers its expertise in photographic documentation and the organisation and promotion of exhibitions.
Officine Fotografiche Roma also shares and disseminates the art of photography by organising annual events: FotoLeggendo and Obiettivo Donna. Each year these two events involve leading personalities, attract the interest of numerous cultural partners and the media, and feature a rich programme of exhibitions, screenings, seminars, workshops and free events.Officine Fotografiche Roma finances its many cultural initiatives through its members' subscriptions.
