In the 1950s, my great-grandmother used to go into the forest at dawn to gather gorse and heather to make little bundles. She would trade them for bread at the village baker's, who used them to fuel his oven.
Several decades have passed since then. I'm 25 years old now, and in the face of the many crises engulfing our societies, I feel the need to reconnect with the deepest meaning of our relationship with living things.
