Biographie

ECAL is one of the inescapable schools in the world scene of art and design. Directed by Alexis Georgacopoulos, successor of Pierre Keller since july 2011, it currently offers three branches of Bachelor courses (Visual Arts - Visual Communication with photography units, graphic design, media & interaction design, filmmaking - Industrial and Product Design) and four Postgraduate courses (Artistic Direction/Photography & Typography, Product Design, Filmmaking and Visual Arts). It equally offers a foundation year that prepares for the entry in its departments and also a Master of Advanced Studies (MAS) in Design and Luxury Industry. In the beginning of the school year of 2011-2012, it welcomed over 620 students. The influence of the school in European and worldwide levels is attested by the success found in previous students, inumerous press articles, regular mentions in specialized magazines or the general public and an enviable number of exhibitions in prestigious spaces, from MoMa in New York to the Salone del Mobile in Milan, passing by Boston's Swissnex, the Cultural Swiss Centers of Paris and Milan, the London Design Museum, the MOCA in Shanghai, or even Kreo Gallery in Paris. Over the years, ECAL has considerably increased its number of collaborations with the great art and design schools around the world, as with leading companies of the most diverse fields, stimulating creativity and excellency.
