GIACOMO BRUNNELLI

Creature

Présentation

Giacomo Brunelli photographs animals. That is to say, what lives, what looks at us, and what has no conscience. They are domestic animals: dogs, cats, chickens, horses... suddenly raised to the rank of actors of our worries. What makes us human in front of the animal? Where does fear begin? suffering? emotion? His very black and very white photographs - shards of skin, feathers and glances under dark skies - draw a world whose interstices open onto our primary sensations. They give us back a part of what lies in wait for us and escapes us, of what immediately borders our humanity.
