Cherry Airlines—travel like you never imagined.
In this photographic project, I revisit the 1950s through the creation of a fictional airline: Cherry Airlines. This era, where aviation embodied progress and elegance, is reinterpreted through the prism of nostalgia and fiction.
Since the 1950s, the relentless search for new levels of comfort has contributed to the worsening of the climate crisis, with aviation playing a major role. By juxtaposing idealized images of airy luxury with current environmental reality, this project highlights the paradoxes and illusions of our consumer culture.
Through Cherry Airlines, I invite the viewer to reflect on the contrast between the idealized image of the past and today’s ecological challenges. Vintage aesthetics mix with digital manipulation to create a universe that is both seductive and disturbing, which highlights the gap between our dreams of opulence and the real consequences of our way of life.
