Biographie
Cloé Harent, a French photographer born in 1998, has been developing since 2018 a sensitive and caring approach to the living world.
His series "Le lien de la terre", devoted to peasant practices committed towards food self-sufficiency, receives in 2021 the ISEM Young Photographer Award. It ends in 2023 as part of the mentorship of the VU Agency and the Régnier Fund for Creation, with an exhibition at the VU 'Gallery'. In 2024, it is presented at the Festival Le Champ des Impossibles, screened at Les Boutographies and published in the magazine EPIC.
The same year, Cloé joined the Tremplin Jeunes Talents residency of the Festival Planches Contact in Deauville, where she won the Tremplin Jeunes Talents Prize with her series 'Bruit Rose', a sensory exploration of the fragile biodiversity of the Norman estrans.
In 2025, she continues her residency at the Maison de la Photographie des Landes with 'Des gestes et des rêves', dedicated to youth as apprentices, then at the InCadaqués Festival, where she realizes 'In Memoriam Terrae', a series on the memory of the rock of the protected natural park of Cap de Creus in Spain.

Présentation
Cloé Harent shares with us his intimate experience with the sea,
offering a photographic ode to the fragile biodiversity of
estrans Normands.
Through her series Bruit Rose, she captures the power of
tides and their influence on the landscape, where each retreat of the
flots gives way to ephemeral paintings, revealing some
iodinated micro-landscapes, natural creation of the living world.
Bruit Rose
This day of rain,
Overwhelmed by a wave of sobs, My heart strained,
Find refuge near the tides.
After having followed the coastline,
I stop and lie down in the hollow of the rocks, on the ancestral beach of Ecalgrain Bay.
I close my eyes.
My hand caresses the hot rock.
I hear the echo of the wild and perpetual breath of the waves knocking on the cliff. Fearing that the rising tide will take me into its entrails,
I struggle, to keep myself awake.
The tranquility of these primitive rocks envelops me in the arms of Morpheus.
In my dreams,
The murmur of a shell takes me into the story of a sound, named 'pink noise'. Pressed against my ear,
There resonates the back and forth of the waves of my blood.
My child’s soul then surrenders to the mysteries of the shore.
When I wake up,
When the sea recedes,
I wander around.
Attracted by the smallest details,
Eyes glued to the ground.
I contemplate the life that oscillates,
Painting ephemeral pictures, at each retreat from the waves.
I then become a witness of the small world of estrans. A fragile harmony, made of life and death,
And which still moves me...
