Présentation

Body scanners are those machines which, in certain airports and without regard for the intimacy of the individual, probe and scrutinize the body. Anna Maria De Antoniis’ images, which show the human body dismembered, recomposed and sewn together, are perhaps a metaphor for what menaces, in reality or in our imagination, the bodies of our contemporaries. On the one hand the spread of the terrorist risk to all places and all situations around the world. On the other, a security network more and more intense, that, in the name of protection, makes each of us a potential threat.
