‘Junge Siegerin’, by Sarah Walzer, is a series of black and white portraits exploring the ambivalence in childhood and adolescence and the transformational power of authentic expressions.

“Authenticity names a condition in which inner experience and outer appearance correspond. Thereby it also describes the condition of oneness, which creates a powerful energy by itself. It’s that energy I want to carry in my pictures. In the series Junge Siegerin, I’m exploring the condition of vulnerability. To be vulnerable for me means being in touch with my feelings. That’s what makes us truly visible and connects us to the world around.’’
