Présentation

Twenty-five years after the start of the war in Bosnia-Herzegovina, Here Soon: Sarajevo addresses the question of time in architecture and the memory of places from the recent history of Sarajevo.

Its ambition is to reflect the relationship of individuals to their territory and the reconstruction of the city through the prism of collective housing, emblematic of the former Yugoslavia and of a war that has interfered in the spaces. the most daily (buildings, apartments, shopping streets, etc.). The subject also extends to places of economic, political and religious power (the seat of the Bosnian government, the parliament, the twin towers, etc.) whose reconstruction contrasts with the state of disrepair of the outlying districts.

This series of images is sequenced with thematic plates modeled on the object and texture banks to signify how the stigmata of war appear today as anachronistic artefacts on the surface of the city.

Here soon: Sarajevo is part of the continuity of an approach started 4 years ago by Alban Lécuyer in various cities (Paris, Nantes, Bilbao, Lisbon, Havana, Phnom Penh, etc.) and which consists in extrapolating the stereotypes of virtual images produced by architects or town planners to promote their real estate projects.

The aim here is to draw a broader portrait of the city and its inhabitants, in search of the political, cultural and social identity of the Bosnian capital.
