S'enforester was born from the meeting of a photographer, a philosopher and a forest. Nourished by the forest of Białowieża, Andrea Olga Mantovani and Baptiste Morizot have combined their gazes to weave the myth of the forest of origins.

S'enforester reveals the hidden link of this forest with every tree in our squares, every oak on our roadsides, every logged forest. Without this myth, we cannot be equal to the political questions that the forest demands of us: how to accompany the forest that surrounds us, how to live in it, how to defend it?

So this book invites us to take a diversion into the mythological power of Europe's last primeval forest, a relic of the past, in order to return armed to the question of the future of our forests in Europe, and in France in particular. It's an exercise in real mythology with political implications for tomorrow.
