Présentation

Military summer camps for children have become incredibly popular in Poland, and patriotism is a major part of elementary school education. What is striking is the recreational character of these camps, which downplays the seriousness and the reality of the military environment. It isn’t clear whether these young people would want to continue their military training in the future. For them it's more about a sense of belonging to a group, experiencing what they have seen in films and on the media, and having an exciting adventure. The impact on their psychological and emotional development will be evaluated only in the future.
