"...it's easier for me like that..."
Présentation
Imagine feeling unwell in your body. You fight this feeling for a long time. And then, at a certain point in your life, after giving it a lot of thought, you decide to change it. You decide to take all the necessary steps to ensure that your outward appearance matches your inner appearance.
But before that, life has blessed you with a relationship and children. The relationship breaks up because of your decision, you have to leave the shared house and your daughters. You only see the children twice a month, and it's the same for the children with their father.
After a while, the routine settles in and you get used to it. But is this really the case? And do the children really get used to it? The years go by and you miss out on a large part of your daughters' childhood. And the children have a father they only see from time to time. The children become teenagers and one of them starts to turn away from you in part because of the situation.
The project is about the facts and feelings of that period in my life, about the implications that a question of gender identity and the decision that follows can have on a person's life and those of the people close to them.
