Présentation

The beauty of Yemen is recognised by UNESCO as a World Heritage, and to walk in its old towns is already a return to a past, where time seems to have stopped. The infrastructures are minimal. Electricity is so little used that one can still see the stars in the sky. The nearby mountains give protection from the hot desert winds. From high on the minarets the chant of the muezzins orders the rythme of the country. During Ramadan, terrorism and kidnapping take a break, and so, when night falls, one can still go and smoke a cigarette on Mount Aratz, or on the Gulf of Aden, to contemplate the Red Sea.
