This photo project tells the story of a country struggling with the pervasive presence of violence and its impact on mental health. Sleep disorders are one of the main symptoms of traumatic memory, which in the Central African Republic is linked to the conflict. Photojournalist Adrienne Surprenant is told of nightmares and insomnia. Her testimonies reveal a harsh reality.
