PHOTOCITIZENS LEICESTER COLLEGE

Photocitizens

Biographie

Each year the work of students of a European school of photography is showcased by a continuous projection in the main exhibition space. This year, les Boutographies are proud to welcome the Photocitizens project
In 2015, Leicester College (UK) and its director of photography Paul O'Leary launched Photocitizens International Photography Festival. It aims at connecting students from all countries with other festivals, galleries and artistic institutions all over the world. The theme for the 2016/2017 edition is National Identity and the exploration of labels that determine the idea of national identity. How do peoples define themselves and the symbols which reflect their identity?
For its inaugural project it gathered partners from Italy, France, Greece, Hungary, Spain, Turkey and the UK to research, collaborate, and showcase future talent
