Présentation

The Grand Canyon occupies a central place in the western imagination of the landscape.
He has long embodied the idea of an absolute and infinite nature: immensity, permanence, intact world.
This myth persists as the territory deteriorates — climate pressure, fires, exploitation and scarcity of life.
In these chiaroscuro images, the sublime does not disappear, it withdraws and becomes uncertain, fragile.
Light no longer celebrates greatness, it emphasizes effacement.
It is no longer a question of exalting the power of the landscape, but of inhabiting awareness of its vulnerability.
Looking at the canyon is no longer contemplating eternity, but experiencing the fragility of a world that we thought was invulnerable.
A romanticism remains, now ecological: watch over what can disappear.
