Présentation
Born in 1972 in Amsterdam, where she grew up, she studied at the Royal Academy of Fine Art in The Hague, then took up a post graduate photography training in St Joost de Breda's Academy.
Since 1997 she's worked on different documentary and portrait photography projects through Bosnia, The Netherlands, and Russia. She was selected in 2003 for the Master class of Joop Swart for the World Press Photo. Ilse Frech won the prize Zilveren Camera and PAN L in The Netherlands, and was nominated by Charlotte Cotton, curator of LACMA in Los Angeles for the ICP Infinity Award.
