Biographie
Yuna Mathieu-Chovet works both in photography and video. She studied at the ECAL School of Art and Design at Lausanne, where she worked with John Armleder and Sylvie Fleury, obtaining her diploma in 2005. Since then she has participated in numerous exhibitions of photography and contemporary art in Switzerland, France and Belgium. She is currently working between Brussels and Paris, as a photographer and teacher of photography.
Présentation
Yuna Mathieu-Chovet has a fascination for the beauty of physical phenomena, in their perpetual evolution. Half way between installation and representation, her staging captures forms that hardly existed before the image, transparent and impalpable, without weight or consistence, and which are endowed with the presence of an intangible matter by the photo itself.
