Biographie

Born in 1989 in Brussels, I graduated in modern literature in 2017 from the University of Liège and now teach literature at an art school in Belgium. My photographic practice is recent, since I started taking photos seriously in 2022.
In the two years I've been working, I've documented a wide range of subjects: prison, religion, the salons erotic fairs, Mardi Gras in South Louisiana, the European hardcore punk scene and the Roma Macedonian community. I also do street photography on a daily basis, with a particular interest in tourism.
My most recent work, entitled "Ce qui reste", focuses on how war and Russian domination on the civilian population on a daily basis.

Présentation

As the war in Ukraine enters its third year and new recruits begin to be lacking, behind the front lines there are those who continue to live, trying to maintain a semblance of normalcy. For them, the aggressor is omnipresent: in the wounds on their bodies, in the holes in their facades, in the darkness imposed by power cuts and the panels with which broken windows have been replaced. Or in the ghosts of the Soviet yoke that haunt the identity of each inhabitant.
The photographer concentrates on this population, to show that life goes on, but that behind every banal episode of daily life, the trauma of Russian aggression is felt.
