Biographie
Lucia Peluffo was born in Buenos Aires in 1989. She is an industrial designer by training (UBA 2013) and an artist by profession since 2014. Her projects are born from her personal experiences and take shape in books and exhibitions where she combines her creative sensitivity with her skills as a designer. Her photographs have been exhibited in Argentina, Mexico, Spain, Portugal, Great Britain, Japan, Georgia, as well as at the Creative Image Lab in Arles. She is a laureate of the 1+2 Photography and Science residency in Toulouse in 2020.
Présentation
The project Opacité des Corps seeks to represent and analyse the different parts of my body in creating a link between its mechanical function, its symbolic presence, and the scientific representations used throughout history. It studies the evolution of photography along with that of scientific visual representation, and the way that one has allowed the other to develop and establish itself. At the same time I interact my physical body with the idea of a “photographic body” in creating a map of my interior territory.
