Biographie
Born in Greece in 1962, Savvas Lazaridis studied photography at the Ecole Supérieure d’Art “ Le 75” in Brussels, and followed the seminars of Robert Frank and Eugene Richards in the USA. His work has been acquired by the Photography Museum and the Museum of Modern Art in Thessalonica. He has published two monographs: “South Side Story” in 1993 and “Changing Lines” in 2002. He is currently teaching at “Le 75” in Brussels.

In Tehran, the Vali-ye Asr district is perhaps the ideal place to observe the forces at work in the Iranian society. Not so much those of the westernized modernity, nor the retrograde power actually in place, but more the intrinsic development of a 21st century megalopolis and its incomparable capacities for adaptation.
