Présentation

In Mylène Blanc’s photos the elements are chosen for their properties, for the images and symbols they induce or the experiences they contain. Their combinations and their manipulations multiply the metaphors: derisory rituals, like children’s games, to heal, to accept the loss, but also to dream of a different way of being. These disguises, masks, make-do with bits of sellotape and string, erect ephemeral totems in order to laugh at time and death.
