Biographie
Born in 1976 in Massy, Emilie Allais graduated with master degree in History (1999) and cinema (2001) begin the photography in 2007 with the nights classes at the Ecole Nationale Supérieure de la photographie in Arles. She deepened the photography with Claudine Doury in 2008 then Klavdj Sluban to 2013 at 2014.

Just before innocence, there are the eyes of the tale - the ones that light you through the dark night, the ones that close at nap time. For what is told just before falling asleep delays the moment of switching to sleep endlessly. Then it is the awakening, hours have passed, the eyes of the world open again, and everything begins again...
Just before innocence, there is the child and the joy of lying, the accumulation of odds and ends and the game of appearances. There is enjoyment in the stories - thrill, pleasure, terror, relief, abandonment, flight. There is cruelty and frankness, fierce and short-lived resentment, ease in forgiving, absolute and casual belief in the mask one plays. Before innocence there is this naive science of reality, the engineering of waking dreams, the conspiracy of anguish, the imaginary drift. Before innocence there are the game and the image, their archaic powers - not the least of which is fiction.
