Welcome to the model of green-belt development, conceived by William J. Levitt, nicknamed in the USA « the King of the Suburbs » It is a certain idea of wellbeing that is on offer here: un-fenced gardens, a standardised architecture, and above all, neighbours who resemble you. This closed world is still thriving, despite the current recommendations for urban development, for social assortment and mobility. On the frontier between documentary and fiction, the inhabitants become characters, populating a cinema decor that is nonetheless very real.
