Présentation
The project « Plein Soleil » is situated between documentary and fiction, and reveals a community of female sun-worshippers. These are women with permanent tans who miss no opportunity to expose themselves to an ever-present sun. Their habitats are the coastal resorts, luminous and colourful, in their Latin architecture. A state of timelessness is manifest among the elements of this world, uniformly treated by the light of the sun. These portraits represent a sort of happy indolence that one finds in the south. They reveal a desire for exoticism. There is an artificial dimension that we find in the idea of browning our bodies, but also in the fact that here everything is a question of appearance, of surface.
