Présentation
The MotherLand series takes place in two countries, Bosnia-Herzegovina and Georgia.
This winter, I went to these places so full of conflicting histories to look for ways to say something about the mother-daughter relationship. Especially when it is destructive, and especially when there is no relationship at all.
My objective was neither to make a documentary nor an auto-biographical research, but rather to put into images the silence and the incomprehension in this series which is arranged precisely in 15 images.
Coming from a cinematic background, I always work my series like a film, with a beginning, an end, using places and characters as an allegorical or plastic value.
Here I have privileged the musical rhythm of the images, trying to compose my total album, fifteen pieces that would say everything that I cannot say with words.
