These are the things left unsaid surrounding the death of my mother and the difficulty of expressing the memories I have of her. The thoughts translate into photographs both more open and internalized. Mingling with these images are family photographs that reinforce the timelessness of the place and permit me to see other facets of my mother, and so to compensate for her absence.
In Le pic entre deux ports, I have embarked on a voyage where the impressions left by family memories confront a centuries old landscape. These images incorporate the ties between the past, the present, and the departed.”
