Biographie
Born in 1974 in Paris, Marie Liesse became interested in photography and the cinema after having obtained a degree in law in 1997. After a number of cinematographic experiences in South America, she returned to France where she worked in the photo gallery service of the FNAC, creating a monthly video magazine presenting the work of photographers. After further studies at the Gobelins School in 2006, she decided to make photography her career. She was finalist in the Kodak Bourse du Talent in 2009, and was chosen by Réponses Photo to take part in Zoom 2010 at the Salon de la Photo.

Born out of impressions derived from the imagery of fairy tales, "L’horloge" is part of the series Les Confitures, fragments of stories which have their roots in the memories of childhood. […] Through moments of photographed dreams, the supernatural - the strange and the familiar – awakens the subconscious. Of a deliberate narrative construction, the images are sometimes naïve, neutral or nostalgic, and relate a universe close to that of fairy tales “where the familiar can be disturbing, and the intimate seem strange”.
