Présentation

Here or elsewhere, how do we embrace a place we love?
Press photographer Kamil Zihnioglu decided in 2020 to leave Paris to live in Corsica. Putting aside his approach as a journalist, he embarked on an impossible quest: to capture in images the identity of this island and the people who inhabit it. Like a mirror, the waters of the Mediterranean reflected his own face. "Who are you?" they seem to be asking him. The photographer seeks out sensitive traces to redraw an intimate and poetic map of Corsica. Intraccià is the fruit of this wandering, this love and this inexplicable feeling of belonging to a land that is not his own.
