I Kiss Holes for the Bullets

Biographie

Born in 1977, Lee-Marie Sadek graduated from Fine Arts University of Paris in 2012. He takes part in several group exhibitions since 2008 which allows him a presence in places like the Getty Images Gallery in London, the Club Nautico in Zaragoza (Spain), the Darkroom Gallery and the Kiernan Gallery in the USA. In 2017, he gets honorable mention at the Monovisions Awards and he is finalist for the Renaissance Photography Prize.

Présentation

The following images show my states of depression, melancholy, anxiety, insomnia, paranoia, isolation, loneliness, emptiness and weariness. It is an invading and never-ending bipolar disorder through which I never cease to question myself: why am I so detached from reality? So disappointed by it? Never being able to cope with it?

The first part of the title is a lyric from a song called “Rosary” by Scott Walker.
