Biographie
Marc Avila Català was born in Barcelona in 1992. In this city, he attended the ITES School, the University of Barcelona (Bachelor's Degree of Fine Arts) and the University Pompeu Fabra (Master in Contemporary Film and Audiovisual Studies).
Présentation
"Homo et Natura is a series born from unease, an unease produced by the deafening noise of smoking reactors of the Solvay petrochemical plant in Martorell (Barcelona), that conditioned the hostile landscape of my childhood. A gigantic network of rusty scrap metal that has been emitting strange fumes 365 days a year since I was born. A metallic presence that, by day, became dirty, grey and vaporous; and by night, a futuristic appearance, radioactively white and mysterious. In the photographs presented there is an anonymous individual who tries to find his bearings in the face of the incomprehension produced by a scenario dehumanized by industry".
