Biographie
Born in 1974, Delphine Burtin at first trained as a graphic designer, a profession that she subsequently practised and taught. She is a member of the creative group Alchimie. In 2011 she renewed her studies, graduating from the Ecole Supérieure de Photographie at Vervey (Switzerland) in 2013.

I like visual accidents. I like it when one imagines having seen one thing, but in reality it’s something else. I like it when the brain plays games on us; when it functions like a trompe-l’œil, making us see and believe what isn’t there.
I like to stumble over everyday images, to capture or recompose copies of a reality which create a doubt. It’s then that the camera becomes the tool of my visual experiments. In mixing images photographed in the studio or in natural light with prints cut out or re-photographed, I try to extract myself from reality in order to better question it.
