Présentation
Catherine is 63 years old and lives alone in a small flat. She has been a young girl, a married woman, the mother of three children, a divorcee and has held a number of small jobs, ending her career as a hostess in a retirement home. Catherine is the photographer's mother and has been retired since July 2022. In this new chapter of her life, she expresses a deep sense of new-found freedom, and relishes in her new hierarchy consisting entirely of herself.
This work is a thoughtful conversation and interplay between her and the photographer, an attempt to take an intimate, tender and amusing look at this long process of introspection, reflection, experimentation and reinvention.
