Présentation
This series is a long-term project about men and women living in institutions and specialized centers. It deals with mental illness and the vulnerability of souls constantly immersed in fear. The photos show an image of freedom constantly terrorized by the outside world and of an unstable condition made splittable by a misplaced caress. The photographer wanted, through his choice of title for the project, to present the individuals he had met with a word elevating them above the stale socially created stigmatizations that had ruined their lives. The word that soon imposed itself as an image of this delicate but radiant state of being is “Butterflies”.
