Biographie
Lives at Gent in Belgium. Graduated (2008) from the university of Antwerp, in audiovisual techniques and photography. The series "Blue, see" has been exhibited in Belgium (Antwerp Photography Museum, Bozar, and the Flemish parliament in Brussels) as well as abroad. It has been widely published, notably in the magazine "6 Mois", and has won several international prizes.
Présentation
In documenting lonely worlds, I provide a glimpse into secluded lifestyles that are difficult to grasp. My images portray isolation in an intimate manner, revealing a universal humanity within a unique setting. By spending a long period of time in the same place, I create the possibility for myself to connect with my subjects, albeit at a certain distance. I particularly focus on how humans relate to their surroundings. The body language of people fascinates me time and again. I show here the sequel of Blue, see made in Belgium and I am currently working on a new series in a kung fu school in China.
