Présentation
The sea is far, the roads are saturated, petrol is expensive, one can’t leave the town. It’s hot in summer, a stifling heat. In summer one is happy, the sky is blue, the sun is shining, it’s a time to sunbathe. Even if the sun burns, one wants to take advantage of it and have fun. To escape the daily routine we go to the nearest swimming pool. But in summer the water is black despite the chlorine, the sky is black despite the sun, the concrete is black, the seagull is black, our skin is black, the bitter taste in our mouths is black, this ridiculous dream of escape is black, on Sundays the image that we have of ourselves is black. The Black Sea swallows us. This series shows the black revealed by the long summer days beside the pool.
