Présentation
Eun Chun interrogates the act of seeing in her photographic productions on the amateur astronomer, the vintage camera collector, the observer, the blind and the deaf, and the Foley artist.
The "Bird and Umbrella" series shows auditoriums and Foley tools. The Foley artist's work is representing sound with an object. Sound-effect engineering work is achieved through the quest for the invisible beyond the visible, through a mental image. Rubber gloves filled with flour will mimic steps in the snow, and the movement of an umbrella being furled and unfurled will mimic the flight of a bird of prey. The Foley artist's experimentation reminds us that an image is not born on our retina but in our brain.
