Présentation
The photographer has chosen the regional park of Apuan Alps, in Tuscany, to show how protected areas are weakened by human activities. He reflects on the need to create protected areas, on the limits, on what we can do and not do in these areas. In fact, these photos demonstrate our need to protect nature, but they also show how mankind pollutes this nature with infrastructures that supposedly should not exist in a so called protected area. This ambiguity allows him to reveal the current relations between man, environment, and territory and also how these relations change over time.
