Biographie
In my early 20s, I came across photography by chance, which led me to the Gobelins school. After two years' training, I discovered the pleasures of working as a photographer's assistant in advertising. I thrived on responsibilities such as serving sushi to art directors. I was faced with existential dilemmas, such as choosing between a taupe grey or mouse grey background to photograph a potato masher.
It wasn't long before I decided to get away from sushi and mashed potato and move to the Ardèche. In 2020, I started working as a shepherdess. I'm continuing my photographic work, but photography is no longer an end in itself. It becomes one way among others of exploring the subjects that fascinate me and make up a large part of my life, in particular the links between humans and nature, inter-species relations and gender issues.
Présentation
I have three friends. They're amazing and they're shepherds. After photographing them so much, I wanted to go into the mountains with the sheep myself. And that's how I got into shepherding. Becoming a shepherdess was my way of carving out a space of freedom in a world that was too narrow. But at a time when forests continue to burn, this space is very fragile and the terrain rugged. By blending text and photographs, I have created an intimate story that goes beyond pastoralism to address broader issues such as ecology, gender and work...
