Annakarin Quinto
Artistic director

Annakarin Quinto

After 10 years working as production manager in computer generated imaginery, Annakarin Quinto becomes a photographer in 2000. Since the beginning, she questions the power of images to describe the real. In 2013, as a development of this practice, she starts a research as curator. In 2013 and 2014, she proposes to investigate the links between pages photography/digital images within two editions of #mybeautifulpixel at the Ateliers of Belleville. In 2015, she creates leboudoir2.0. She tries in this framework to invent new forms for sharing the photographic image, in order to short-circuit the inevitable appeal of the aesthetics of the surface, as an invitation to explore the background of the image and its power of transmission.
