Boutographies
Application
Three prizes are awarded during the Rencontres: the Jury prize; the Exchange prize (with the festival Fotoleggendo in Rome) and the Public prize.
To participate in the selection for the Rencontres send your dossier to Association Grain d'Image (Boutographies), 9 rue Joachim Colbert, 34000 Montpellier, France, to arrive between the 1st, and no later than the 30th of November 2011.
The jury will convene at the beginning of December, and you will be advised of its decisions, by e-mail, at the beginning of January 2012.
The Dossier
- a series of between 10 and 20 photographs on paper, maximum size 20x30 cm/A4. They should be good quality proof prints (do not send photos of exhibition quality), un-framed, un-mounted, and not under plastic. A single subject per dossier. Collectives et groups, contact us.
- a text presenting your exhibition, its title, and an indication of the number and size of the images proposed.
- a brief CV + your personal details: Mr. Mrs. Miss. + address, telephone and e-mail
The inscription fee
- the inscription fee is 20 euros for each dossier sent. It is not reimbursable in case of non-selection. It can be paid by cheque in euros, drawn on a French bank, made out to Grain d’Image; by international bank transfer*; or by PayPal**, through our website.
For those photographers able to furnish a pre-paid (French postage) return envelope

For those photographers applying from outside France, who therefore can't furnish a pre-paid envelope, and whose dossier doesn't exceed 500g
26,50 €
For those photographers applying from outside France, without pre-paid envelope, whose dossier weighs between 500g and a maximum of 1000g

- Each dossier must be accompanied by an appropriately sized envelope for its return.
- For a return inside France affix sufficient stamps for the return postage.
- For a return to other countries, send an unstamped envelope, and see inclusive rates above (PayPal)
* contact us by e-mail to obtain our bank details. You must include a copy of your bank transfer document with your dossier.
** After having completed the payment on-line, you will receive an electronic receipt. Print and include a copy of this receipt with your dossier.
Reminder
- only those dossiers complying with the above conditions will be examined by the jury.
- make sure you have included a return envelope, along with your payment (cheque to Grain d’Image, proof of bank transfer or payment par PayPal)
- the dossiers will be returned during the course of January. To make sure you receive yours as quickly as possible, avoid return by parcel post, registered delivery, etc.
Each photographer selected accepts to be present during the festival opening weekend.
The photographer must have full rights to exhibit his work. We do not accept submissions from agents.
We pay the accommodation for the photographer and the transport of the exhibition.

The organizers reserve the right to use the dossiers selected, without payment, for the promotion of the Boutographies. The organizers decline all responsibility for eventual damage or loss, however caused, to any dossiers. In the event of force majeure the festival could be cancelled without notice, and without any claims for compensation being admitted. The submission of a dossier to the Boutographies implies acceptance of these rules.
